During outdoor family sessions my goal is to capture your family in an authentic natural way. My first priority is always making sure mom looks her best, so I will provide direction in terms of posing and flattering angles to get that perfect everyone looking at the camera shot.
From there children will be encouraged to play and interact rather than look at the camera and "say cheese". I will prompt you snuggle, kiss, tickle and play little games with babies and younger kids. With older kids, we will talk about sports and boyfriends.
I find that the best and most meaningful pictures are captured when children are truly relaxed and having fun, not being forced to pose in a certain way so I will be looking to capture those in-between moments.
I offer outdoor family sessions May through early November. Beach sessions are scheduled one hour before sunset July through September.
Outdoor sessions are ideal for babies six months and older. Since my outdoor sessions are focused on interaction, I recommend including parents in the session. If you prefer the session to focus on just baby, a studio session may be a better fit. The Boston Public Gardens, the Charlestown Navy Yard, Bird Park in Walpole and Rexhame Beach in Marshfield are a few of my favorite and most frequently used outdoor locations.
